Mick Winters is looking forward to testing the exciting Sayce Gold in Pattern company this winter after the impressive seven-year-old backed up last week's ready Fairyhouse bumper win with a flawless hurdles debut.

The Trevor Hemmings-owned daughter of Gold Well jumped impeccably and put daylight between herself and the field in the straight, scoring by a comfortable eight lengths in the 2m7f mares' maiden hurdle.

"She's fierce fast to jump," said Winters of the former point-to-point scorer.
