Whether he did enough to earn himself a reprieve from the sales ring today remains to be seen but after romping to a seven-length success in the 1m2f handicap, Sixties Groove no doubt made a late entry on to more than one shortlist for today’s July sale in Newmarket.

Owned by Susan Roy and trained by Jeremy Noseda, Sixties Groove is entered as lot 838 today and gave current connections plenty to mull overnight after taking his form to a new plane under Jim Crowley.
