Saldier is favourite for the 2020 Unibet Champion Hurdle with Paddy Power. Now there is a sentence I did not think I would be writing on Saturday morning. He does not deserve to be either.
Odds of 4-1 look ludicrously short on a literal reading of his victory over Petit Mouchoir, which was by only a length and a half. BetVictor and Coral are more realistic at 6-1.
The runner-up, Petit Mouchoir, is rated 152 and his best days look to be behind him. Klassical Dream got too excited beforehand and was not at his best.
