Ryan hails Spencer a genius after Syphax steals the Acomb

Kevin Ryan described Jamie Spencer as a genius after the trainer's long-time ally steered Syphax to a 16-1 success in the Tattersalls Acomb Stakes.

Godolphin's recent purchase Best Of Days looked set to provide a quick return on the money spent when leading over a furlong out but Syphax, pushed along from start to finish, hit top gear just in time and came from last to grab first in the final stride.
