Group 1 targets await Sir Ron Priestley and Boomer after Goodwood success

Goodwood has spawned many a Group 1 career and if the bookmakers are to be believed two of Saturday’s Goodwood winners could be added to the list.
The more immediate contender is Sir Ron Priestley, who once again showed his will to win when landing the March Stakes after a prolonged tussle with Promissory.
This Group 3 has been a traditional William Hill St Leger trial and Ladbrokes cut the winner to 16-1 (from 20) as he continued his rise up the ranks with a fifth win of the year.
