Apprentice Rossa Ryan is ending his first full season in terrific style and a 23-1 double on Muhajjal and Bezos made it five winners from his last six rides and took him past the 20-winner mark that determines his claim.

Ryan, based with Bezos's trainer Richard Hannon, was touted by some as apprentice title material back in the spring when he had ridden just a couple of winners, but he will be a far more realistic prospect for the 2018 championship with a full season's experience under his belt.

His reduced claim of 5lb kicks in on Monday but he has another 74 winners to go before it is gone completely.
