Rocky's looks a treasure over fences as he breaks track record

Rocky's Treasure looks a chaser with a particularly bright future after making it four wins from five starts over fences in the Grade 2 bet365 December Novices' Chase.

With his only defeat coming when second to the highly promising Santini on his previous start, Rocky's Treasure did not have a rival of that calibre to contend with this time. Even so, it looked a competitive event with all three of his opponents having won over fences.

However, it proved a one-sided affair. Jumping with aplomb under David Bass, the seven-year-old made all the running and having turned for home with a three-length lead he stretched that to 17 lengths by the time he passed the post in a new course record time.
