America and Australia can wait. Richard Hannon has global autumn ambitions with some of his stable but first settled for the mere 300-mile sortie to Newcastle for the first day of the new all-weather championships.

Recording one more victory than the Premier League side on Tyneside this season, Hannon celebrated a 1,124-1 hat-trick from four runners to make it four winners from six starters at the track this year.

Temple Of Heaven was the star turn in winning the first fast-track qualifier under Sean Levey and reaffirmed his trainer's faith in him.
