Nicky Mackay proved an able deputy for Frankie Dettori aboard the classy Ricetta who made it two from two on the Rowley Mile in the mile fillies' novice.

The daughter of Camelot looked Listed class at the very least when defying a 7lb penalty to back up her debut win at the Guineas meeting 13 days previously.

In contrast to that last-to-first showing, the John Gosden-trained filly was on the pace from flagfall and had something up her sleeve to see off runner-up Topanticipation.
