Remastered masters chasing game to make long trip from Devon worthwhile

Remastered was rerouted a long way north by west country trainer David Pipe after missing his date at the abandoned Lingfield meeting just over a week ago, and made the 650-mile round trip more than worthwhile with a debut victory over fences in the 2m4f novice chase.

The seven-year-old, wearing the Native River colours of Brocade Racing, also won on his hurdles debut two years ago but failed to strike again in his following eight starts. Switched to the discipline he was always destined for, Remastered jumped soundly to score under Tom Scudamore.

"It was a decent novice chase, but the long trip certainly paid off," said Pipe. "He always goes well fresh and won well.
