Red Square victory revives memories for owner Halewood

Thirty years is a long time in anybody’s book but Judy Halewood turned the clock back when visiting the Severnside course to see Red Square Revival make a winning debut in the colours of her company Halewood International.

The David Pipe-trained five-year-old took up the running at halfway before lengthening well to stretch clear up the home straight for Tom Scudamore, the pair proving six lengths too strong for Tell The Tale.

Halewood said: “The last time I was at this course was when I was training and that must be the best part of 30 years ago. But I have to say the place is no different. I am pleased to be back in the circumstances as it makes me feel 30 years younger!”
