Lee Mottershead, a member of the diversity in racing steering group, reacts to Khadijah Mellah's historic victory at Goodwood.

It was not simply what happened, it was the reaction to it happening. People at Goodwood recognised the significance of Khadijah Mellah's Magnolia Cup success and they welcomed it with relish.

When the BHA created the diversity in racing steering group it was because it could see the sport needed to be more diverse and inclusive.
