Commonwealth Cup the way to go for Sovereigns

Ten Sovereigns wasn't overly impressive but got the job done and that's all that matters because he is going to be a much better horse next year.

Pulling clear with Jash, the other unbeaten runner in the field, the son of No Nay Never didn't look in love with the undulations at Newmarket and the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Ascot over the same six-furlong trip would interest me more than the 2,000 Guineas next season from a punting perspective.

Pretty Pollyanna was absolutely stuffed behind Fairyland in the Cheveley Park despite trying her hardest, and I'm not sure she will progress next season. The winner wouldn't interest me for the 1,000 Guineas, either.
