Racing Blogger proves lucky charm as Longsdon lands double

Charlie Longsdon enjoyed a fine afternoon in the sunshine at Towcester as the Chipping Norton trainer fired in a double, keeping an increasingly well-known racing personality happy in the process.

Bestwork kicked off the double by winning the opening 2m handicap chase under Aidan Coleman in the colours of the Henacre Racing Club, which boasts among its membership the charismatic and opinion-dividing Stephen Power, better known as Twitter's Racing Blogger.

Power was in attendance to cheer home what was his first winner as an owner and said: "I loved the way this syndicate wanted to involve young people and it was within my price range, so I thought I'd give it a go and here I am in the winner's enclosure. Blogger has brought the luck!"
