Quinn praises 'very special' Safe Voyage after gelding breaks track record

John Quinn was feeling "over the moon" after stable star Safe Voyage crushed a 48-year course record at Epsom with an impressive win in the Listed Investec Surrey Stakes.

The seven-year-old was recording his tenth career success, racing in midfield behind front-running Shine So Bright before quickening powerfully when urged along by Jason Hart.

Safe Voyage won the race in a time of 1min 19.88sec over the seven-furlong trip, beating the time set by Capistrano in 1972.
