A quiet Wednesday at Fairyhouse would not often be the venue for raucous post-race scenes, but the Niccolai Schuster Racing Club did their best to raise the roof after their mare Ellie Mac landed the opening novice chase.

This was the third and arguably biggest win registered by Ellie Mac, who battled on strongly from the final fence under Rachael Blackmore to see off the persistent challenge of Davy Russell on Monatomic.

Cue the celebrations. More than 20 club members and friends were in the winner's enclosure afterwards, with the mare's name being sung lustily to the tune of KC & The Sunshine Band's legendary smash hit Give It Up.
