Mullingar-based trainer Dot Love and her assistant Ciaran Murphy are bound to be getting a little bit excited about Dawn Shadow, and she generated a bit more hype when landing the feature mares hurdle.

It was well-contested, headlined by the Willie Mullins-trained odds-on favourite Karalee and another potentially exciting mare in the shape of the Jessica Harrington-trained Lesley Dawn in the colours of the late Ann and Alan Potts.

Their colours were convincingly lowered by the winner though, who is owned and was bred by Sean Reilly, who also owned top racemare Shadow Eile.
