Progressive Alyssa battles hard and earns first Listed success

Alyssa looked well worth another chance in Group company when coming off best in a three-way finish for the 1m6f Noel Murless Stakes for a fourth success of the year and a first at Listed level.
Kirsten Rausing's filly had been quietly fancied for Doncaster's Park Hill Stakes last time but finished down the field behind her stable companion Simple Verse. However, trainer Ralph Beckett now hopes to keep her in training at four and give her another chance.
