Pretty Gorgeous romps home for Joseph O'Brien in impressive Bellewstown debut

It was Bellewstown but not as we know it. No funfair, no crowds and no cabaret singer entertaining the throngs of racegoers, although the absence of the latter was not exactly a negative.

There was some decent action on the track, though, and perhaps a star was born in the shape of the Joseph O'Brien-trained newcomer Pretty Gorgeous in the juvenile fillies' maiden.

This was a race in which most eyes were on Siskin's half-sister Talacre, who wore the same Khalid Abdullah pink, green and white silks for Ger Lyons and rider Colin Keane. The similarities would seem to end there. Although she ran well in finishing second, this was all about Pretty Gorgeous.
