King Power Racing enjoyed a perfect start to their new alliance with Paddy Twomey as Sunday Sovereign, the first Irish-based horse to carry the owner’s colours, ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race at Tipperary.
Purchased by the outfit after winning a Curragh maiden in good style last month, Sunday Sovereign continued his progress with a taking display under Billy Lee.
A trip to Royal Ascot could be next on the agenda for the son of Equinano, with the Norfolk Stakes his most likely target.
