You get the feeling Polly Gundry has thrown all but the kitchen sink at Danseur Du Large but her efforts have not been wasted as the six-year-old recorded his first victory under rules in the 3m novice handicap chase.

He was produced late by Johnny Burke to reel in Coopers Square, who was bidding to make it six victories from his last seven appearances.

Owner Lady Dulverton, president of Gundry's fan club, was delighted with the short-head verdict.
