Acapella Bourgeois was once again all the rage for a Navan handicap but, although he stayed on his feet this time, he was unable to peg back Polidam in the feature Foxrock Handicap Chase.

Supported into 7-4 favourite for the Troytown last month, when he came down at the seventh fence, this time Acapella Bourgeois was even more popular in the market but was unable to reward punters who backed him into 4-7. More fingers burnt.

Instead it was Polidam, also having his second start for Willie Mullins, who proved much too strong in the closing stages under Danny Mullins, powering up the run-in to put nine lengths between himself and the odds-on favourite.
