Pipe back in the winner's circle after Saint John Henry does the business

Historically the Pipe yard find their stride at this time of year and Saint John Henry bounced back to winning ways after making much of the running to take the spoils in the 3m2f handicap chase.

Following a lull in fortunes over the spring and summer, David Pipe had a smile back on his face as the seven-year-old proved to be only his sixth success so far this term when holding off the attentions of Looksnowtlikebrian.

Pipe said: “We've had a quiet time of late but that's down to the fact we don't have as many horses as in the past. But my father Martin never really got going until November and hopefully we'll do the same as we've some nice horses to run.”
