That's how to impress ITV viewers. With the eyes of terrestrial television on him, Rob Hornby delivered a masterclass in riding from the front to land the Betway Pinnacle Stakes.

Determined to make stamina count, he set a strong pace on proven stayer Manuela De Vega in the 1m3½f Group 3 event and was clear at halfway.

Yet he had judged things perfectly on the Ralph Beckett-trained Oaks fourth, who had enough left to hold on by two lengths from Fanny Logan at the line.
