Neil Mulholland has had an autumn hotter than the weather and warmed favourite backers with a double completed by the gambled-on Pinkie Brown in the 2m novices' chase.

The former tearaway was shunted into 6-4 favourite from 7-2 in the morning and put his troubles behind him to complete a further across the card brace for owner Brian Dunn who also teamed up with Mulholland to score at Ludlow with Fool To Cry.

After Tom Scudamore had made just about all on the grey, Dunn's associate Tom Jenkilns said: "Unfortunately, Brian couldn't be here or at Ludlow as he had some business meetings he couldn't get out of but this will have cheered him up. I don't know where the 6-4 came from but we did have a few doubles running on."
