With the Randox Health Grand National just days away, it is little wonder the Twiston-Davies family are smiling.

As a twice winner of the world's most famous chase, Nigel Twiston-Davies has happy memories of Aintree and goes into the big meeting in high spirits after Earlofthecotswolds landed the feature 2m4½f handicap hurdle.

The trainer's two sons got in on the act with Sam riding the imposing five-year-old and Willy enjoying success as an owner in a four-strong syndicate that includes Clan Des Obeaux's part-owner Ged Mason.
