If Noel Fehily can steer home a few more winners this week in the colours of JP McManus as easily as he did aboard Forthefunofit, he will be a very happy jockey.

Just 48 hours before he partners Buveur D'Air in the Stan James Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, Fehily headed to Lincolnshire to ride the Jonjo O'Neill-trained eight-year-old and never looked in danger in the 2m7f handicap hurdle.

Forthefunofit was eased down to score by ten lengths from Abricot De L'Oasis, justifying 5-2 favouritism in a qualifier for the staying hurdle series final at Haydock on Easter Saturday.
