Paul Midgley has a fine eye for a sprinter and he looks to have found another money-spinner in Tanasoq.

You don't win a string of big races with the likes of Desert Law, Final Venture, Line Of Reason and Monsieur Joe without knowing what a good horse looks like.

He reckoned he'd spotted one in Tanasoq, a fair 6f handicapper he picked up for just 15,000gns at the sales last autumn and the York trainer's judgement looks spot on.
