The Hugo Palmer-trained Koropick looked an above average two-year-old when making an impressive winning debut in the opening juvenile maiden.
A son of Kodiac who was bought for 40,000gns at the breeze-up sales, he was sent off the 3-1 second favourite and though a shade slow to break he travelled strongly and once Jack Mitchell asked him, he quickened up in good style to beat the odds-on Prazeres by four and a half lengths.
