Pairofbrowneyes enters Grand National picture after emphatic Gowran win

Pairofbrowneyes, making his debut for Willie Mullins, jumped his way into the Aintree Grand National picture under the returning Paul Townend, with the pair coming clear to record a most impressive victory in the Toals.com Leinster National, switched to Gowran Park after Naas was deemed unraceable.

Indeed, the County Kilkenny track was also hit hard by the weather, with many of the runners throughout the course of the afternoon’s racing struggling badly in very testing conditions, but not Pairofbrowneyes.

After the success, Mullins suggested the nine-year-old would be aimed at one of the major staying handicaps later in the spring, identifying the Aintree Grand National as one such target.
