The bet365 European Free Handicap usually takes bottom billing of the Classic trials at the Craven meeting with a modest overall record.

Despite Anna Nerium being rank outsider of the 10 runners at 25-1, this year's renewal might live longer in the memory as the daughter of Dubawi heads for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas.

While Mrs McArdy was the last filly to win this in 1977 before promptly going on to win the first fillies' classic, Harayir finished second to Diffident in 1995 before landing the 1,000 Guineas.
