There was plenty of reminiscing going on after Our Oystercatcher made a winning debut in some famous colours in front of his owner and breeder.

Jeremy Veasey and his wife Felicity, well known on racecourses having been stewards for many decades, were adding to a long line of homebred winners.

Their distinctive red and black colours were most famously carried by The Whistling Teal, runner-up in an Irish St Leger as well as winning an Ormonde, St Simon and Aston Park Stakes in his long career with late trainer Geoff Wragg, who was a cousin of Felicity Veasey.
