Only One Voice needed as Harrington Blue Wind winner keeps progressing
Another racing day, another day of dominance for Jessica Harrington's fillies, as the consistent and progressive One Voice battled strongly under Shane Foley to land the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Blue Wind Stakes and provide her trainer and rider with a double at Leopardstown.
Having been touched off by stablemate Silence Please in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan, this was a deserved success at this level for the filly on just her fourth start, as she saw off the Aidan O'Brien-trained Snow by half a length.
Assistant trainer Kate Harrington said: "Shane said it didn't exactly go to plan, that was more like plan Z! He was meant to make the running but maybe that's the way to ride her. Because she was meant to make the running we put a very light rubber bit in her mouth, but it made her race very keenly. She's a lovely, progressive filly and she can keep going forward."
