Saturday: Punchestown

Like most racing fans, RTE's renowned GAA pundit Marty Morrissey was left marvelling at the gift of Willie Mullins at Punchestown as Ireland's dominant force collected his 16th trainers' championship.

But for Honeysuckle, Mighty Potter and Marie's Rock, Mullins could have completed a clean sweep of Grade 1s at this year’s festival to go with an amazing ten winners at Cheltenham, and Morrissey drew parallels between the juggernaut of Closutton to the great GAA teams of yesteryear.
