Apprentice jockey Megan Nicholls had a day to remember as she rode out her claim when striking aboard the John Berry-trained Kryptos in the 1m1½f handicap.

The daughter of jumps training supremo Paul Nicholls reached the magic number of 95 by edging out Furzig, who was ridden by her partner Kevin Stott, by three-quarters of a length.

"This was my goal for the year, so I’m absolutely delighted my claim is gone," Nicholls, who has been successful with four of her last seven rides, told Sky Sports Racing.
