Oliver gets more from 20-1 'surprise' winner Corri Lindo
Corri Lindo held off the challenge of A Distant Place after a tussle up the straight to spring a 20-1 surprise in the 2m4½f handicap hurdle.
The ten-year-old, who cost £50,000 after winning a Kildorrery point-to-point in 2015, hung slightly right on the run-in but stayed on gamely to score by half a length in testing conditions.
"It was a bit of a surprise," said trainer Henry Oliver. "He worked well last week and has bounced back from a few little issues. He's got good form on that ground and is an old horse with plenty of ability.
