O'Grady enjoying a good Time of things but predicts a quiet winter

Edward O’Grady has enjoyed a productive summer over jumps but, after sending out Time For Mabel to take the most valuable race on offer here, the 3m handicap hurdle, the legendary trainer predicted that his fruitful spell would not last into the winter months.

“The few horses that are there are running well but I'm afraid we'll be very quiet for the winter," he said. "I have no good horse and the ones I have seem to want good ground.

“I'll have about 30, maximum, but that would include my own fillies. There are some nice babies there – I just hope we live long enough to see them!”
