Irish conditional Katie O'Farrell partnered her first winner in Britain when getting the reluctant Local Affair home in the 2m lady riders' handicap hurdle.

The 8-1 chance did not make life easy for O'Farrell but perseverance paid off and the pairing came seven-lengths clear of Comber Mill.

Sister of fellow jockey Connor, O'Farrell now works for Paul Nicholls after a successful spell with Willie Mullins in her native Ireland where she won twice at the Galway festival.
