Snow caused havoc with 11 of 15 non-runners down to travel-related issues but there was no stopping Curragh trainer Michael O’Callaghan, who sacrificed a traditional Christmas to ensure his two runners made it to Wolverhampton with time to spare.

Christmas dinner was a turkey sandwich at his temporary home of the racecourse hotel but it was a small price to pay as he saddled a first and a second from two runners.

“We’ve been here since Christmas Eve,” revealed O’Callaghan after Hello Brigette’s easy win in the division one of the 6f maiden for fillies.
