O'Brien four-timer turns a bandwagon into a steamroller

In-form trainer Joseph O'Brien made it a meeting to remember with a scintillating 714-1 four-timer at Fairyhouse, to make it nine winners in less than 28 hours.

A remarkable statistic is that none of the four winners was sent off favourite, and indeed the stable's only favourite on the day was beaten.

The day began with the victory of seasonal debutant Mortal in the opening beginners' chase. The son of King's Theatre jumped well and showed more of a willing attitude than joint-favourite Any Second Now on the run to the line for Rachael Blackmore.
