Norton packs a punch on and off the track with knockout show

Franny Norton was showing off his boxing prowess before racing on family fun day and also packed a punch out on the track, bagging a double including the feature race on Addicted To You.

The Mark Johnston-trained stayer had spent 289 days on the sidelines but you would not have known it in the paddock, with punters taking the hint and backing him into 3-1 favouritism for the Class 4 two-miler.

In typical Johnston style the pairing did not see another horse and kept up a gruelling gallop in 27C heat to score by ten lengths.
