Norton a contender for Sprinter's crown after fine Shloer win

On the day a great champion bowed out, a young pup by the name of Fox Norton emerged as a live contender for the vacant crown by disposing of some classy rivals in the Shloer Chase.

Only six and having just his tenth race over fences, Fox Norton is clearly a much-improved performer this season, having been raised 15lb to a mark of 161 after winning a handicap chase over the same course and distance on his previous start.
