Normandie Lady enjoyed a productive three-year-old campaign and she got 2017 off to the perfect start with a smart win in the feature 1m½f fillies' handicap.

There was drama at the off as hat-trick-seeking 5-4 favourite La Casa Tarifa blew the start, handing her rivals an advantage of some 20 lengths.

Lincoln Rocks had it all her own way up front before 4-1 shot Normandie Lady emerged to challenge and took over readily with a furlong to go, comfortably extending to score by three and three-quarter lengths.
