No Peace for punters as Triumph winner fails second chasing test

Any new racegoers attracted on 'family fun day' learned a quick lesson that there is no such thing as a certainty in racing.

Peace And Co looked the class act in the novice chase, successful in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2015 and a comfortable winner on his debut over fences at Hexham last month.

He went off 1-2 favourite in a field of four but was being pushed along turning for home, trailed in third and was found to have broken a blood vessel.
