No need to sweat as Anti Cool follows up

On a scorching afternoon in Nottinghamshire, Anti Cool never gave connections anything to sweat about as he followed up his recent Stratford success with a authoritative win in the 1m7½f novices' handicap chase.

Letters rather than numbers dominated the seven-year-old's form prior to his Stratford win, with five of his seven runs before yesterday's success concluding with the Robin Dickin-trained chaser failing to finish but a wind operation looks to have revitalised the son of Heron Island.

Dickin admitted it had been an arduous journey but is confident the best is yet to come.

“He had a bit of a breathing problem and had his soft palate cauterised,” explained the trainer. “They don't always cotton on that they can breathe properly again at first but I think he has now.
He's becoming a confident horse.”
