'Nico was mad about him' - Seven Barrows team thrilled with Dusart debut

Memories of a Seven Barrows favourite came flooding back after Dusart, a half-brother to dual Cheltenham Festival winner Simonsig, marked himself out from the crowd to make a winning debut in the 2m½f novice hurdle.

Like Simonsig, the winner is trained by Nicky Henderson and owned by Ronnie Bartlett, who has been searching for a close relative to the former Arkle winner but was determined to wait for the right one to come along.

On the evidence of Dusart's two-and-a-half-length success over the well-regarded Soaring Glory, he has chosen wisely, with the winner earning a quote of 20-1 with Coral for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle in March.
