Nicky Henderson in treble form at Newbury but Floressa the one that got away

Champ's success kicked off a great afternoon for Nicky Henderson, who had three winners and was narrowly denied a fourth when Floressa went down by a short head to Silver Forever in the competitive mares' novice hurdle.

Diablo De Rouhet continued his fine run of form when recording a third win from his last four runs in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle qualifier before Henderson enjoyed a one-two in the closing bumper with Son Of Camas beating the shorter-priced Timberman. The four-year-old had disappointed on his sole start at Punchestown but made amends with an impressive win here.

Henderson said: "It's been a great day, I can't complain. Everything we've run has run well, which is great. I suppose losing by a short head is bad luck, though.
