Nicholls the headline act in Somerset as Worthy Farm hits right note

Worthy Farm, named after the site of the nearby Glastonbury Music Festival, ran out an appropriate winner of the 3m novices' handicap hurdle at Taunton for trainer Paul Nicholls and jockey Harry Cobden.

Although conditions weren't as testing underfoot as it can be at that annual bash, Worthy Farm still needed plenty of stamina of his own in the straight to see off Rosemary Russet to take the prize.

The 11-4 chance, a winning point-to-pointer, was completing doubles for Nicholls and Cobden, but had to overcome a wayward passage on the run-in to score by a neck.
