Nibbler takes a big bite out of Galway for Hackett with valuable victory

Trainer Ray Hackett won the biggest pot of his career as a plan came to glorious fruition with the victory of Nibblers Charm in the €50,000 Guinness Tribes Handicap Hurdle.

Following a couple of decent runs in Flat maidens to protect his handicap mark, the son of Court Cave, who is owned by Hackett's father Liam, was in fine shape for this 2m½f assignment and scored convincingly under a strong ride from in-form 7lb claimer Simon Torrens.

Nibblers Charm came through to lead after the second-last and when Torrens kicked him on, none of his rivals could live with him and he was full value for the 12-length margin of victory over Poseidon.
