David Jeffreys got off the mark as a trainer by landing a touch with Kaylen's Mischief, who was backed from an early 20-1 into 12-1 before coming home in front in the 1m3½f handicap at Yarmouth.

The sheep farmer's son from Northumberland, who started out with Rose and Tony Dobbin, had spent some time away from racing following spells as assistant to Charlie Mann and Charlie Longsdon.

But he couldn't stay away and now has horses in all nine boxes at his yard in Stow-In-The-Wold, with hopes to expand to 20.
